Before we start we disinfect our shoes and tools with a veterinarian approved disinfectant (contains a parvocide) to prevent transmitting disease from one yard to another (A single gram of dog waste can contain 23 million fecal coli-form bacteria and dogs are significant hosts of Giardia and Salmonella). We thoroughly survey your yard for pet waste using a proven search patter. We collect all the Dog waste by using a small shovel and a plastic bag. The bag is tied closed and placed in another plastic bag or sealed container to prevent odor and contamination problems. We take all of the waste away with and dispose of it properly. We also pick up small trash in the yard and dispose if it also. While doing our clean-up if we notice that your pet is not as active or feeling as well as it should, then we will let you know, so you can take appropriate action. Most dog owners prefer service once a week. Most of our cat owners prefer service twice a week. Other service schedules are available; please call for pricing information. If this doesn't work for you then we will work out a schedule that will meet your needs. If you would like to know more about service more or less often please let us know.
How much does your service cost? Our prices are very
reasonable. Prices are dependent upon the number of dogs, the size of the yard and how often cleaning in needed. Generally speaking, we will keep your lawn clean of Dog Poop on a weekly basis for about $1 per day. The more the pets the less it costs per pet. There may be an extra charge for the first time clean-up if the waste has been allowed to accumulate. Please call for pricing information. Do you work when the weather is bad? Yes. Dogs and cats keep making their all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove dog and cat waste even through the winter. Some customers may need to put a hold on our service for a period of time. When service is resumed there may be an extra service charge for the first clean-up depending on the amount of waste accumulation.
What happens when it snows or rains? Even though we will work in most weather conditions, snow or very cold weather can stop us. If driving is hazardous or if there is more than about half an inch of snow and/or ice, we will postpone that day's service until the next day or two, when the snow and/or ice melt away. If there is so much frozen accumulation that we are prevented from doing that week's work, then we will skip that week's service and you will not be charged for service that week. If snow stays on the ground for more than a week, but there is no new ice or snow to cover it, we will do regular cleanups to prevent excessive accumulation.
We will usually work in the rain. However, we may be stopped by lightenning or a very heavy rainfall. We will usually be able to make up the work later that week.
Yes. Please have your gate unlocked on your service day, since our employees are not allowed to climb or jump over fences. If you want to keep your gate locked, you may provide us with a key to the lock or tell us the combination if that would be more convenient. If you like, we will loan you a combination lock at no cost to you.
We do not work the following holidays:
When a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will post a work schedule in your Customer Flyer. Service returns to the regular day the following week.
Can you work with our dog in the yard? Yew, we usually can. We love animals and get along well with dogs; however, there are some cases when a dog will not let our worker into the yard. If your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you restrain or confine the dog on our service day(s) We don't want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees.
What if I want to skip a service day? If you call Pet Waste Control in time for us to tell the service worker to skip your yard that day then you will not be charged. We can hold service and you will not be charged if the dog will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks, or for some other reason you want us to skip your yard for a day or more.
There will also be no charge for service missed due to weather or some other even beyond your control.
HOWEVER, if your gate is locked or the dog will not allow us to clean the yard when we come to do the work, it may be necessary to charge for the service call that could not be completed. If, for instance, you get to work and remember the gate is locked, call us early to tell us to skip that day so that you won't be charged.
